    Our research tackles the investigation and scaling of dissatisfaction with on-site supervisory management against creative person (creative class) actively working on the development of new technologies and new services. We consider there is a negative impact of leadership behavior arising from Japanese corporate cultural background. As a preliminary survey, we set up a working group on this issue and interviewed the actual situation. In this presentation, we report on the result that we created a draft version of the survey to investigate factors of job dissatisfaction of creative class.

    According to Prof. Robert L. Katz, in the general organization, whenever the hierarchy of the manager rises with director - manager - senior manager, the importance of the expert skill is decreasing and the importance of human skill and conceptual skill are increasing. In the Japanese IT project, the role of project manager is similar with the organizational manager. Therefore, this study researched that the human skill of the project manager was higher than other types of job. In this study we analyzed communication skill data of ITSS (IT skill standard) survey. As a result, the communication skills of project managers are higher than other job categories.

    <p>OSS (Open Source Software) has made remarkable progress in recent years. In ES (Enterprise Software) development process, also the OSS usage has been increasing steadily, which means the impact of OSS to the society has become greater and greater. However, the quantitative analysis for OSS development has been put no particular importance today. In this research, we study to enhance COCOMO model, commonly used for ES development, in order to clarify the relationship between human resources and development volume of OSS development projects. We chose 50 of Large Scale OSS development Projects from GitHub for our analysis, and obtained such three findings as: 1. In OSS development projects, with some arrangement in measuring man-months volume, we found that power formula of COCOMO model can be applied for expressing the relationship between the development volume and the outputs. 2. As OSS development characteristics, with the increase of development volume, the efficiency for development shows the rising trend. 3. The tendency found above has been identified as not the results of diversion as copying and modifying sources nor cumulative contribution made by variety of small developers.</p>

    It is well known that the understanding of the group dynamics is important for an effective program/project team. In recent years, the diversity&#039;s trend makes program/projects members cooperate with other members of a variety background. But the grasping the team state is difficult with observing. In this report, we analyzed the Gini inequality index (Gini-ratio) as the team-contribution ratio. At the result, we found that it is easy to grasp the team state by the team-contribution ratio.

    Mutual trust between the leader and members is necessary to collect the risk information of a project. However, nowadays projects involve various members, and sometimes have to be released quickly. So, it is difficult to build a mutual trust relationship between the leader and members in such a short time. This research analyzed investigation data to inspect the situation in which members can report the problem of the project to leader easily by using Tackman&#039;s team building model. In addition, as a proposal to help build the team-relationship effectively, in order to evaluate that &quot;Communication Facilitator (CF)&quot; was applied to the real project.

    In the project in which various members participate, situation (=context) agreement of recognition of the project status is important and difficult, and this is one of the causes that the problem is caused in the project. This study focuses to recognition of team situation between the leader and members. And I will analyze the data of the team bldg. theory in real project. In additions, I propose to assign for the communications facilitators as remedial measures of the recognition discrepancy, and the effectiveness is evaluated from the application result in a real project.

    The performance of projects greatly depends on the motivation of the project members as well as the abilities of them. Therefore, project managers have to pay attention not only to execution the project plan but also to their motivation. The previous researches have discovered &quot;reward&quot;, &quot;promotion&quot;, &quot;empowerment&quot;, &quot;welfare program&quot; and so on to increase the motivation. In this paper, the author will focus on communication. It is obvious that the motivation is improved by good communications between project managers and project members. It is because communication is the fundamental components to increase motivation. This paper is based on the results of a research about communication between project managers and young employees in the software development projects. And the author have identified the strategies of communication for project managers to increase motivation of young members using &quot;MEH model&quot;.

    The purpose of this study is a project management study on development projects and team building in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry.The results show that the process of team transition in team building is different between System of Engagement (SOE) and System of Record (SOR).While SOE transitions along the Tackman model, SOR does not transition linearly, but has a recurrence pattern to four of the five stages, except for the "scattered meeting period".
    In addition, we were able to model the project members' views of their supervisors and the organization.
