    Multi-element alloy subnanoparticles with sizes of ~1 nm are attractive for enhancing the catalytic performance of transition metals and their oxides. The alloy subnanoparticles, composed of transition metals and main group elements, are of particular interest as redox-active catalysts in selective oxidative reactions to synthesize industrially useful intermediates, because the subnano-ordered alloys provide amorphous structures in the particle due to the strongly surface-strained energy. We have demonstrated the preparation of precise size-controlled alloy subnanoparticles using a dendritic macromolecular template. In our results, copper in the alloy subnanoparticles plays an important role as a redox active species in the catalytic oxidations for hydrocarbons. Incorporation of precious metals and main group elements into the multi-element alloy subnanoparticles is expected to enhance the catalytic performance and stability caused by the electronic effects and the bond formation among these different elements.

    Binary oxide clusters (BOCs) composed of Cu and Bi atoms were prepared using a macromolecular dendritic template. The oxidized Cu16Bi12Ox exhibited selective styrene bisperoxidation. The catalytic performance and durability were improved by incorporation of Bi into the CuOx clusters.

    The lowering of the CuII→CuI reduction temperature for subnano CuO particles (ca. 1 nm) was demonstrated, compared to the nanoparticles, which was monitored by in situ XAFS H2-TPR experiments. The enhanced performance with a release of the atomic oxygen from the copper oxide is attributed to the surface-strained structure and the elongation of the Cu−O bonds.

    The catalytic dehydrocoupling reactions of amine-boranes have attracted considerable interest from the perspectives of chemical hydrogen storage and the production of new inorganic polymers. In this review, significant progress made in coordination of amine-boranes at transition metals is described, and the elementary reactions in relation to the catalyzed dehydrocoupling process are also discussed. Highly unsaturated complexes as the precursors provide an efficient strategy to synthesize the complexes with amine-borane ligands. The amine-borane s-complexes with the h1- or h2-coordination modes consist of electron-donation from the B-H bond to the metals exclusively and negligible back-donation to the B-H bond. The B-H activation (oxidative addition) of amine-boranes is achieved to the unsaturated Rh-PR3 system, giving unique dimeric complexes with Me3N-stabilized boryl ligands. The iridium amine-borane s-complexes convert thermally to the complexes with amino-borane ligands, together with elimination of hydrogen. X-ray crystallographic results of the ruthenium amino-borane s-complexes display shortening of the Ru-B and B-N bonds, indicating the B-N multiple-bond character. Dehydrocoupling reactions of primary and secondary amine-boranes promoted by a cationic iridium complex produce the linear diborazanes as kinetically stable products. The reaction pathway of the dehydrogenative oligomerization of amino-boranes is proposed.

    Dehydrocoupling polymerization of 1,1-Dihydrodibenzosilole (DBSH2) and 4,4-dihydrodithienosilole (DTSH2) as monomers is expected to give polysilanes which are composed of a silicon backbone with π stacking delocalization along the main chain.
    The Ni-catalyzed polymerization of DBSH2 afforded the polysilanes with a narrow polydispersity. Treatment of the tetramer in the same Ni catalysts resulted in the initial formation of a mixture of monomers and trimers, which subsequently transformed into oligomers. This polymerization involves a preferential dehydrogenative condensation, while the presence of H2 regenerates the monomer after its consumption and thus promotes further polymer growth. DTSH2 undergoes unexpected cyclodimerization accompanied by skeletal rearrangement to afford a cis-fused bicyclic compound in the presence of a similar Ni catalyst. We succeeded in isolating DBSH2 and DTSH2 monomers and discovered the preciously controlled dehydrogentaive polymerization.

    ジベンゾシロール、ジチエノシロール等のシロール誘導体は、ケイ素σ軌道とπ電子系との軌道相互作用により、共役系の拡張、蛍光発光効率の向上などの独特な電子的状態を生じるため、機能性元素ブロックとして魅力的な分子構造体である。これを含むポリマーの多くは炭素-炭素結合形成によるπ共役高分子であるが、主鎖をSi-Si結合とするケイ素高分子の合成例はほとんどない。後者はσ共役に加えて側鎖置換基のπスタック共役から特異な高次構造の形成や光学的性質を有する新規性に富む無機高分子として期待されている。本研究では、新規モノマーとしてジヒドロジチエノシロールを合成し、これを用いてシラン化合物の脱水素重合反応の開発を検討した。
    従来のモノマー合成には、トリクロロシラによるケイ素化と還元反応による二段階反応が利用されていたが、新たにジクロロシランを用いた合成法を見出した。ニッケル、白金触媒を用いて脱水素重合を検討したところ、予想外にも、モノマーのシロール骨格の環拡大とケイ素-ケイ素結合が併発し、ジシラシクロヘキサジエン部位をもつ二量体を生成する触媒反応が進行した。生成物である環化二量体は、結晶構造解析と分子軌道計算により分子構造を明らかにした。ジヒドロジチエノシロールを配位子とする数種類の白金錯体を合成して、反応機構に関する考察をおこなった。本研究では、有機ケイ素化合物の脱水素カップリング反応に着目し、白金錯体とジヒドロジチエノシロールとの素反応に関する基礎実験データを集約して、白金等の10族遷移金属錯体が触媒的ケイ素-ケイ素結合形成に有用であることを見出した。

    Two-dimensional multinuclear complexes are less common than other structurally regulated complexes such as one-dimensional complexes. Incorporation of electron-donating silylene and germylene ligands to the multimetallic complexes would confer unique chemical properties. This research reports modified preparation and chemical reactivity of tetranuclear palladium and platinum mixed complexes and their structural rearrangements of the Pd4Si3, PtPd3Si3, and Pd4Ge3 cores.
    Preparation of the tetrapalladium complexes was modified by using silylene precursors, which was reported as aminosilylboronic ester. The direct reactions gave thermodynamically stable Pd4 complexes in good yields. The planar-shaped tetranuclear complexes with electron-donating silylene ligands exhibited unusual rearrangements of the cores by protonation. Especially, the protonation of the Pd4Ge3 core underwent reversible rearrangements to give the linear structure and the relative mechanism was also considered.

    This research covers selective preparation between linear and cyclic polysilanes catalyzed by nickel-phosphine catalysts and suggests their reaction mechanism on the basis of chemical properties for the cyclic palladium intermediates. Formation of the cyclic polysilanes and the cyclic intermediates is attributed to be higher thermally stable than the linear one. A new concept of polysilanes involving π-stacking interaction at the side substituents exhibits the unique optical properties.

    This study demonstrates new preparation of metallacycles composed of silicon, germanium, and tin and their chemical properties. A new and convenient synthetic method for oligogermanes was developed via these germametallacycles precursors.     前二年度で研究したPd4Si3型の平面四核錯体およびこれに対するヨウ化銀等の付加反応の成果を新しい方向に展開させる目的で、異種金属混合平面四核錯体を合成し、そのヨウ化銅、ヨウ化銀との反応を行って、以下の新しい成果を得た。
    橋かけシリル配位子を有する二核パラジウム(I)錯体と単核ジシリル白金(II)錯体との反応によってトルエン可溶の生成物を得た。X線結晶構造解析の結果より、単結晶中にPd4Si3型錯体とPd3PtSi3型錯体の1:3の割合で含む混合物として結晶化していることがわかった。一方橋かけシリル配位子を有する二核パラジウム(I)および二核白金(I)錯体とを適切な条件で反応させると、Pd3PtSi3型錯体を生成した。いずれの方法で得られた混合金属錯体でも含まれる白金は平面多核コアの中心部にあり、周辺部に白金が位置することはないことがわかった。
    Pd3PtSi3型錯体とヨウ化銅、ヨウ化銀との反応によって、これらの化合物が付加したPd3PtSi3Cu(Ag)型の錯体を生成した。この五核錯体は、いずれも溶液中で動的な構造変化をおこすことがわかった。詳しい解析の結果、銅または銀が四核平面上を円滑に移動し、Pd-Ag及びPt-Ag結合をどちらも保ちつつ、NMR時間スケールでの構造変換を起こしていることを明らかにできた。
    パラジウム四核錯体に比較して、パラジウム、白金混合平面錯体は、基本的に類似の構造、電子状態を有し、反応性も共通点が多く、本研究の成果が一般性にとむことがわかった。

    本研究の目的は,アザフェロセンと総称される有機金属分子の光化学反応による配位構造変化を利用した可視光応答型重合触媒の開発である.アザフェロセンとはフェロセンと類似した化合物であり,鉄原子に対してシクロペンタジエニル(C_5H_5)環とピロリル(NC_4H_4)環とπ結合で挟まれたサンドウィッチ型構造の分子である.フェロセンと同様に,アザフェロセンは可視光領域に最大吸収波長を持つことから,光照射によりFe-NC_4H_4配位子が活性化する.17年度には,ホスフィン存在下におけるアザフェロセンの光反応により励起された生成物を捕捉し,その構造をX線単結晶解析より明らかにした.18年度は,アルキン,アルケン等の不飽和有機分子,環状エーテル類の光重合反応を検討した.電子吸引性基をもつアルキン分子との反応では,光照射を必要とせずにアルキン分子の環化三量体,ピロリル環と二分子のアルキンから構成されるインドリジン誘導体を与えた.その反応を調査すると,反応中間体に相当する鉄二核錯体が単離された.その構造解析の結果,2分子のアルキンから五員環メタラサイクルを形成した化合物として同定された.本研究の目的である光照射のONとOFFにより重合反応を制御する理想的な触媒開発は困難であったが,Fe-NC_4H_4結合開裂によりアルキン分子を活性化する反応を見出した.また,アザフェロセンはピリジンと同様に遷移金属錯体に対して窒素配位することが可能であるため,酸化還元特性をもつメタラリガンドとして機能する.種々の銅錯体との反応では,アザフェロセンが配位した銅単核,二核錯体をいずれも良好な収率で与えた.これらの銅錯体の電気化学測定の結果,多段階の酸化状態を示すことがわかった.このようにして,アザフェロセンは光反応や電気化学反応に対して活性を示す興味深い分子であり,本研究の成果により新しい分子触媒としての展開が大いに期待される.

  • 異種金属複核錯体における有機ケイ素配位子と不飽和有機分子との結合形成反応

    パラジウムと白金とが2つのジフェニルシリル配位子で橋かけされた異種金属二核錯体を合成した。原料錯体について検討を行なったところトリエチルホスフィンをもつビス(ジフェニルシリル)パラジウム錯体とトリス(トリエチルホスフィン)白金とから上記錯体を合成することができた。X線構造解析および各種NMRスペクトルからパラジウムにはホスフィンが1個、白金に2個結合していることがわかつた。トリシクロヘキシルホスフィンを用いる同様な錯体では2つの金属はいずれも1個のホスフィンと配位していた。トリエチルホスフィン配位子をもつパラジウム-白金錯体にt-ブチルイソニトリルを反応させた。生成物を分離精製したところ、五員環のパラジウムメタラサイクルが生成した。この環は2つのSi,1つのPd, C, Nからなり、ほぼ平面の構造をもっていた。生成反応の機構はイソニトリルのC≡N≡重結合が1つのSi-H結合に1,2-挿入、もう1つのSi-H結合に1,1-挿入する反応を含むことを明らかにした。このような4つの原子を含むシラプラチナサイクルの例はきわめて少ない。
    原料錯体としてシリル水素が重水素標識された-SiPh_2D配位子をもつ錯体を用いるとメタラサイクルのメチレン部分が選択的に重水素された生成物が得られた。さらに重水素標識された二核錯体とされていない二核錯体の混合物を反応に用いたところ、生成物分子の重水素は0個または2個であり、反応中にシリル配位子の分子間移動はおきず、分子内反応で生成物を与えていることがわかった。
    反応のもう1つの生成物は2つの橋かけ配位子を有するビスシリルニ白金錯体であった。イソニトリルの配位によって白金によるSi-H結合の活性化と水素分子の脱離がおきていることがわかった。
