    The purpose of this study is to propose a process model that leads to the awareness of pre-service teachers' teaching skills in online trial lesson using a video annotation tool that supports the comparison of opinions between oneself and others. For that, we developed a video annotation tool that supports comparison of opinions between oneself and others on a portable mobile device. And, we categorized awareness of pre-service teachers' teaching skills based on the case study method, and examined the overall structure of the process leading to these awareness. As a result, five types of awareness were identified: "addition of teaching skills," "rethinking of teaching skills," "Enhancement of thinking about teaching skills," "adjustment of teaching skills," and " finding the meaning of teaching skills," which were further classified into three levels: "know," "brush up," and "make meaning.” In addition, we suggested a process model that leads to the awareness of each categorized teaching skill.

    <p>This study developed a system supporting video annotation on portable mobile devices for Non-face-to-face educational purposes. We considered the three functions supporting video annotation in the "VOVAM" system based on two surveys. It was found that learners were also able to determine which evaluation contents to annotate on portable mobile device. We also found that D&D annotation function was easy to operate, and at the same time, it was easy to set the target position to the time that learners wanted to point out on portable mobile device. We found that the marker overlay playback function could help learners understand visually during reflection activities even if markers from some evaluators are displayed on portable mobile device.</p>

    The objective of this study is to categorize formative feedback for Period for Integrated Studies in the 5th grade. For that, following two assumptions are considered; there might be differences of formative feedback usages and how to give between an expert-level teacher and a competent-level teacher; a formative feedback would influences on pupils' actions during the learning process. To analyze those two assumed points, interactions between each teacher and his or her pupils in the class were observed. Also, quantitative analysis using the data obtained with the self-made rubric was carried out. The results indicated that an expert tended to utilize more various formative feedback than the competent-level teacher did. Moreover, the expert teacher tended to tailor formative feedback in a proper way depending on pupils' learning condition. In addition, it was found that a competent-level teacher frequently used similar kinds of formative feedback regardless of pupil’s learning condition. In addition, it may be suspected that an expert teacher uses some formative feedbacks such as the feedback; to have a problem consciousness in learning; to embody the solution from the inside of him; for improving the quality of pupil’s leaning.

    Online lecture videos commonly consists of two videos, the lecture slide video and the teacher video. Because a teacher hardly moves in a slide-based lecture, learners' motivation and concentration are reduced and they do not think activity, for example "think for oneself or "take notes to memorize". In this study, our purpose is to promote learners' thinking activity and promote learners to understand the lecture contents. Concretely, we designed and implemented a system that adds the teacher animation to promote learners to do thinking activity. we assumed the contents of displayed animation, for example, "highlight important points of a lecture","promote learner to think for oneself",or "indicate the point where teacher is now explaining".

    There are many Japanese EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners who tend to feel difficult in speaking ENGLISH freely. It is said while they could understand English phrases in reading and listening, they could not use the phrases when speaking. In this research, we proposed a speaking practice which is based on DLS (Dynamic Listening and Speaking method) and aimed to support the learners to realize what kind of phrases they could understand but could not use, and to help them to practice the phrases in speaking. Moreover, we developed English speaking practice application which is supposed to promote learners to use phrases right after the learners learn the phrases.

    We developed authoring software of "CodEx" presentation, which is for programming language lecture course. CodEx is presentation for web programming language courses. It has functions to display sample source code, edit it, and display its execution result all in one slide. Conventionally, only text-based editing method supported for CodEx. In this paper, we developed GUI-based authoring software "CodEx GUI Editor", which enables teachers to make and edit CodEx slides. CodEx GUI Editor is implemented with HTML5 and CSS3.

    It is necessary to support Japanese EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners to be active to study English conversation for globalization. We developed English Conversation Learning System using lifelog for Japanese EFL learners. The system is based on heuristic model of variables influencing "Willing to Communicate" by Maclntyre, with "interactive English conversation", "topics based on interests and life of learners", and "application with which learners can use anywhere and anytime". The result of experiments showed that the system couldn't offer appropriate conversation topics using lifelog, however "interactive English Conversation" style worked well to make learners feel relaxed and speak fluently.

    We carry out the experimental learning with scroll sentence and the system evaluation about moving Images and moving voices to run moving data into the load of network traffic. Then following results are cleared. We show the limitations of the network load that the correct answer rate of the scroll learning is same as TV. On system evaluation of moving Images, the conversion time is getting longer. On system evaluation of moving voices, we show the limitation of the network load that the voice articulation is stable. Then we show the figures of equvalent value line on the image conversion time and the voice articulation.

The first one helps to follow the latest information of papers and reports published by JET (Japan society for Educational Technology). The database was made for this system. Users can retrieve interesting information using keywords, and these keywords can be registered on the system. When new information from papers are inputted to the database, the system searches them automatically using users' registered keywords. If new information is found, it is sent to the corresponding user by E-mail. The second system helps to follow the latest information from newspaper articles on the Internet. Users can also register their interesting keywords on the system. The system retrieves newspaper articles on the Internet periodically, and searches them automatically for users' registered keywords. When a new newspaper article is found, the user is notified by the E-mail. The user notified can read the abstract of each newspaper article on the system, click the interesting one, and jump to the original site on the Internet. By using this system, it is possible for users to choose effectively the content from a large amount of newspaper articles.

    The relationship between the strength (or duration) of physical exercise and a measure of mathematical ability (the calculating score) was examined. verified that the calculating score in the case of exercise (80W, 10minutes) was higher than that in the case of no exercise. It was found that the calculating score went up when the strength of physical exercise was modest (physical exercise of 5, 10 and 15 minutes), but the score went down when the strength was excessive. Next the relationship between the duration of physical exercise and the calculating score was investigated. It was shown that the strength of five minutes of exercise, where the calculating score became highest, was stronger than that of ten or fifteen minutes of exercise. The relationship between the heart rate and the calculating score was also shown.

    学校の教師にとって、いじめ等の問題行動など学習指導以外の生活面での指導が大きなウエイトを占めている。また、現在、新型ウィルス感染症(COVID-19)の影響から新しい生活スタイルに馴染めず、心的ストレスや体の不調を訴える児童・生徒が増加しており、その対応にも追われている。この状況に対して、すばやく簡便に生徒の心身の状態を把握し、その後の生活指導に生かすことができる「e健康観察システム」を開発するとともに、これまで検証を行ってきた。その中では、心身の状況と学習成績の間に関係のあることが示唆された。それを受け本研究では、e健康観察システムと同様に心身の状態を収集するとともに、簡易型LMSからの基礎学力の推移や状態、そして本システム外の「統合型校務支援システム」からの学習成績などを基として、それらデータを外部AI等により解析する。その結果得られる児童・生徒が学習活動を行う上で影響を与える因子セットを用いて、現在の学習のコンディションを診断するシステム「LCDS 学習コンディション診断システム」を構築する。
    まず、2021年度は、学校現場におけるこれまでの生活及び保健指導の先行研究にあたり、生活指導にICT を活用した研究を中心にレビューし、本申請への援用等の可能性について検討した。次に学校現場の教師と議論する中で、LCDS のシステムデザインと機能を確定していった。さらにLCDSは、児童・生徒の心身の状態や学習成績を保管するシステム構成となるので、セキュリティについて個人情報保護の観点等から検討を行った。
    昨年度は、コロナ禍の影響により、児童・生徒の心身の状態を集約するセルフチェックシステム及び、データベースシステムの開発にとどまっており、学会口頭発表や論文発表に至っていない。

    令和2年度および3年度は、授業の開始時および終了時に質問紙調査を行い、効果検証のための尺度開発を行った。令和2年度は予備調査とし、令和3年度に項目改訂と本調査を実施した。質問紙調査から、リーダーシップのタイプとして「意見聴取型」「率先型」「支援型」「統率型」「マネジメント型」の5つの因子が抽出され、尺度構成を行った。本研究で対象とする授業では支援型リーダーシップに焦点を当てた教育を行っている。すべてのリーダーシップタイプにおいて授業後にリーダーシップ行動が増加する傾向が見られた。特に、「自分の行動や成果について、メンバーからの率直なフィードバックを求めるようにしている」「主体的に取り組まない人には注意する」「仲間のやる気を引き出す」「グループの学習の目的を明確にして,仲間と共有する」「グループ作業では、先頭に立って仲間を引っ張っていく」「全員が発言しやすい雰囲気づくりを心がける」等の項目で、授業に伴う増加が見られた。
    基礎科目で高得点を修め、上級科目へと進んだ学生からは、基礎科目での授業開始前後、上級科目での授業開始前後の4時点のデータが得られている。「仲間のやる気を引き出す」「グループ内で意見が対立した時には、合意形成のために働きかける」といった項目で継続的な上昇が見られた。ただし、多くの項目では授業開始時点において既に高得点を示しており、天井効果が発生していた。上級科目の履修者に対しては、意識面だけでなく、育成目標になっている個々のスキルの修得状況も確認できる質問項目の追加が必要と考えられる。

    The concept “guidance for living” is used in schools in Japan to direct students to make moral and ethical decisions and promote prosocial behavior. However, attempts to provide this guidance places a heavy burden on teachers, who may find it difficult to observe and guide all students adequately. To ease this burden, the student health observations and student diaries maintained by many Japanese schools could be digitized. Therefore, we developed and tested an EHealth observation system for three months in a Japanese elementary school. We found the system quickly and easily gathered and shared information on students' psychological and physical health with teachers, allowing them to use this information to provide living guidance.

    We surveyed research on co-regulated and socially shared regulated learning, which evolved from self-regulated learning, the theoretical background of this study. As part of the research to identify adult competencies needed in the 21st century, we had planned to visit the headquarters of an international organization, OECD but decided to decline due to the spread of COVID-19. We focused on the literature review and developed educational materials. The developed teaching materials were practiced at a hotel school and high school. Based on these materials, we made academic conference presentations and published papers and books on the design of learning environments surrounding the teaching materials. The teaching materials were used in one international social activity (Salzburg Global Seminar) project.

    This study presented a series of solutions to the problem of MOOCs not being able to provide a high-quality educational environment for diverse learners. First, we developed a method to classify MOOC learners from their learning trajectories to derive representative learner models, which facilitated the design and development of educational interventions aimed at improving MOOCs' quality. Furthermore, we found that the Multiple Learning Paths developed from two perspectives provided a more advanced learning experience than the original course (MLP Learning Platform 1), and learners who worked on the assignment selectively tended to submit more assignments, making it easier for them to continue learning (MLP Learning Platform 2).

    In this research, I developed MAST (Mobile Application for Summary speaking Task) that offered English speaking practice using a virtual tutor and evaluated the effectiveness. The result showed two implications. First, virtual tutors for English speaking self-study could support how to speak a specific contents and to use appropriate words and as a result, learners could concentrate on grammatical encoding and speak longer sentences with few self-repair. Second, when learners used MAST for preparation for face-to-face practice, they could reflect more effectively on their speech in terms of not how to speak but what they should speak.

    In this study, an autonomous learning model by practice and reflection was proposed for athletes with no coach or leader. It was shown that the learning support system based on the data which can be acquired from various sensors, etc. was possible to construct. By using those objective data using acceleration sensor and motion capture system, the sense of athlete is transfered into language, and reflection becomes possible, and autonomous learning becomes possible. However, the present result is basic and limited, and it is necessary to continue the research in future.

    It is important to deepen the understanding of learning contents in order to improve university students' fragmented learning to systematic ones. Active reflection on learning contents and association of them enables such deepening of understanding. Therefore, we have developed a keyword-based e-portfolio system, focusing on recording keywords contained in learning contents, so as to encourage students’ reflection and association. As a result of evaluating through actual class with the system, the following tendency was shown: 1) the system facilitates students to associate keywords, 2) their learning attitude in a class becomes active, 3) they becomes able to grasp learning contents meta-cognitively, 4) they get higher scores in a test to recall learned keywords and a test to produce sentences with learned keywords.

    In this research, we have discussed two learning support systems for the disaster learning because we consider that combining the basic knowledge learning and the experience learning is an effective way.
    At first, we developed a mobile learning support system called "FaLAS" for creating a disaster prevention map. Learners can carry this system that would record every environment they observe. We conducted a classroom exercise at a high school using the system. The results showed that students' awareness was increased in the self-efficacy and their ability to judge safety and risk. Secondly, we developed a system called "ES3" that presents a virtual situation based on the evacuation drill scenarios. As a result of practicing disaster-prevention drills using the system in a high school, it was confirmed that learners judged the situations by themselves. From the results of questionnaires, changes were noticed in the voluntarily judgments regarding dangerous outdoor places and so on.

    In this research, the three-step growth model for university students and their learning support system were developed. It became clear that in order for university students to become autonomous learners, it is necessary to learn cognitive factors such as motivation, learning strategies, and metacognition and reflect them in their daily activities. It was also found learner agency is the key in these contexts. Along with the peer tutoring environments has been designing for supporting and promoting their learning, the three-step growth model for students to be autonomous learners had been developed. Through educational practices based on that model, learning curriculum and materials were developed. Finally some books were published for teachers and learners be used widely at many educational settings.

    The purpose of this study was to increase interactive activities between a teacher and students in a class where a teacher uses PowerPoint software to explain the contents. Add-on software for PowerPoint software was developed to add server functions. By developing software for a teacher’s portable device, the teacher can manipulate PowerPoint presentation remotely, write annotation on the portable device screen and the annotation is also shown on the slide of PowerPoint, and take a picture of student’s learning output and it is transferred to PowerPoint and attached to a slide. Another new function is an audience response system which runs on PowerPoint. A server on PowerPoint gather response from students, make them up, and draw a graph on a slide. This software helps teachers to make their class more interactive and realize active learning.

    We are developing a Japanese Composition Support System which identifies error writing for Japanese learners. In this study we conducted experiment of system evaluation. From the experiment result, learners overlook correct error representation identified by the system, because the system replies many error identification incorrectly. From a few questions after the experiment, we found that learners wanted to refer a correct representation together with error identification.

    In this research, a response time in a computer classroom to get information from Web servers was quantitatively investigated. At first, it was found by experiments that learners' access distribution to the Internet could be approximated by gamma distribution. Second, data sizes of Web pages that are useful for education were searched. The 344 Web sites were selected. The mean data size for an Web page was approximately 98KBytes, which was small enough for download. Third, an experimental network was set to measure a response time. A server's computer was connected with eight client computers under several bandwidth conditions (1.5Mbps,10Mbps, and 100Mbps). The numbers of TCP connections from clients to server computer were changed by 2,4,8,16,24,32,40,and 48. The connections were launched to form gamma distribution. The standard deviation of gamma distribution is set to be zero (simultaneous connections), 10 sec, and 20 sec. The transferred data size from the server to clients was changed. The mediums of measured response time were shown as contour maps. As a result, it can be said that an Internet connection of 1.5Mbps is enough for a computer classroom to use educational Web sites. However, in order to use large files as high-definition pictures, 10Mbps Internet connection, or ADSL class connection, is required.

    National Information Center for Educational Resources (NICER) was developed as the Educational gateway to all educational resources in Japan. NICER is the national website in which both instructors and learners are able to search necessary information easily. The system allows users to search for information related to primary and secondary education that reside sporadically across the country in a cross-website manner using LOM or Learning Object Metadata. The categorization used in NICER's system corresponds to that of the Curriculum Standards for elementary and high school education. Therefore information for particular subjects, grades, areas and items can be retrieved readily. In order to allow global sharing of educational resources using LOM, NICER has developed the LOM system with the IEEE-1484 standard in mind, to support the internationalization. NICER in English was also developed for English speakers.
    Entering keywords is the method to find necessary information, but in the case of Japanese, because of the multiplicity of types of characters in the written language, children may not be able to reach the information they need, because they cannot enter the more difficult forms of Chinese characters they have not yet learned to read or write. In the same example as above, a child may enter the keyword in hiragana, the phonetic syllabary in Japanese, but this may not be recognized in general search engines which only identify with kanji, or Chinese characters of the same word. Our system can recognize keywords in either forms of writing, to support young users.
    The many supporting tools were also developed for students and educators, and these are well in service through the Internet. The current website accesses are exceed three million per year, which means this NICER are using by many users.

    The aim of this research involves a development and evaluation of information system using the Internet to support satellite education. The followings are the achievements of this research.
    (1)Development of a System to Deliver Slide Patterns of Lecturer and a Feedback System Using the Internet
    This system can deliver slide patterns shown by lecturer to a learners' web browser via a network or the Internet. A slide pattern is sent in sync with a lecture. By this function, learners can read slide patterns more clearly than a TV screen sent by satellite. In addition to this, this system can gather learners' real-time response for an enquete via the Internet. Furthermore, a lecturer is able to show a graph of result on a web browser.
    (2)Development of Notification System for Educational Information
    Users of this system can receive e-mail for notification of new educational information, which has relations with keywords that users have registered. This system has been released and used since September 2002 in the National Information Center for Educational Resources (NICER). Furthermore, this system have a function to detect whether an web page update is worth for users.
    (3)Development of an Information Retrieval System for Video-Based Learning Materials
    In this system, video material is time coded by matching with manually transcribed speech data. Using time coded speech data, an information retrieval system of video-based learning materials was developed. This system offers a full-text retrieval, and replays retrieved video clips in which query terms are contained.

    The purpose of this study is to compare performance among developed subject classification methods for educational Web re-sources.
    Three methods are vector space model (VSM) using degree of cosine similarity, vector distance on the self-organizing map (SOM) and three layer percptron (MLP). The document vectors were estimated by the term feature vectors which were extracted from the teaching guidelines based on the singular value decomposition method (SVD).
    The 403 teaching schemes were prepared as the test documents for the subject discrimination. The recall rate, precision rate and Fl measure as the classification performance measure, were compared across three methods. The recall rate using MLP is the highest for most subjects. The highest precision rate among the methods depend on subject. As a result, F1 measure as total performance index of most subjects are the highest for the method using MLP.
    According to the results, the subject classification methods for educational Web resources by using multi layer perceptron (MLP) is tested to achieye better performance. Ten classification methods and 403 test documents were prepared, then classification perfor-mance was compared among conditions by the F1 measure.
    As a result, it was examined effectiveness of singular value decomposition (SVD) to extract term feature from term-document matrix as description characteristics of the national teaching guideline. The highest performance of classification method was the use of MLP which trained with all term features extracting from SVD when document feature was estimated by terms appering unique subject.
    Also, it was suggested that there were significant differences of document feature components between correct and incorrect classified documents.

    本研究では、遠隔教育での遠隔地からの質問や反応情報を効率良く収集表示し、講師に学習者からの情報をわかりやすく伝える支援システムを開発することを目標としている。
    そこで、携帯電話のメール機能やブラウザアクセス機能を用いて、システムの実現を検討した。
    本年度は、以下の内容を検討した。
    1.講義内容の構造化と表示方法の検討:講義概要を抽出・整理するために、講義資料の記述を分析し、講義内容を構造化するために、自己組織化マップを用いて構造化して表示する方法を検討した。
    2.情報収集システムの開発:携帯電話のブラウザ機能やメール機能を用いて、情報を収集するシステムを開発した。本システムでは講義に関する選択肢の選択状況を集計したり、自由記述形式の質問文を分析収集する機能を実現した。質問文では、質問文に含まれる語彙によって、質問に関連する提示パターンを推定する方法などを検討した。
    3.レスポンス情報の表示システムの開発:得られた反応情報や質問は、遠隔講義をしている講師に、効果的に伝達する必要がある。そこで、収集情報を1画面のWebページに集約し、講師にわかり易い形式で表示できる画面を開発した。

    インターネットは社会的に大きな課題を与えることになり、私達が知らない間に情報通信ネットワーク犯罪に巻き込まれることにもなりかねない状況となっている。しかし、インターネットがあまりにも急速に進展したために、(1)法的にどのようなことが許されているのか、あるいは、(2)法的に許されても、どのようなことが他人に迷惑を掛ける恐れがあるのか、(3)より好ましいインターネットを利用するマナーとはどのようなことか、等について私達は習得していない。
    そこで、本研究では、情報通信ネットワーク社会で必要となる情報モラルと、情報に関連する著作権に関する学習サーバを構築することを目的として、今年度は、学校教育に関連する著作権について学習する教材を作成する計画であった。
    しかし、本年度新設された基盤研究(S)に申請した研究課題が採択されたため、わずかの期間で本研究は中止することになった。したがって、本研究の成果は、情報モラル教育教材の在り方と情報化に関連した著作権に関する種々のケースの調査について検討を開始した段階までを行い終了した。そのため、本研究における今年度の研究目標を十分に達成するまでには至らなかった。

    The aim of this research is to efficient categorization of Internet information for school teaching. This thesis conducts categorizing websites to subjects-units, based on the analysis of term-frequencies in teaching textbooks.
    A term-document matrix is generated by extracting terms from unit-documents with morphological analysis and summarizing terms' frequency. Each element of this matrix is the frequency of every term in every class unit. Methods to extract feature vectors of terms and documents from the adjusted matrix using SVD (Singular Value Decomposition), and to composite feature vectors of arbitrary documents from the terms' vectors are established. A suitable class-unit for the document is estimated based on the similarity of these feature vectors.
    A test-collection including over 120 websites, each of which has an answer made by high-school teachers, was used for the evaluation. Parameters and variables in the procedures, such as, which word classes to use, how to adjust the term-document matrix, the dimension size of feature vectors, etc. were optimized based on this evaluation. Results were given as a list of unit-titles in descending order of similarity between the site's feature vector and the units' vectors.
    To illustrate the structure of websites, SOM (Self Organizing Map), which is a kind of a non-supervised neural network learning, is used. As a result, the textbook concept space was visualized, and mapping every page that constructs an arbitrary site showed how the site-pages were distributed in this space. The validity of this map is also discussed and guidelines in reading these maps are shown.
    In conclusion, a document classification specialized to educational information was done. Methods to extract feature vectors from descriptions in textbooks and to composite vectors of arbitrary documents are established. Matching class-units of the document is acquired by comparing similarities between the feature vectors. Visualization of categorizing results and website-structures are also done using SOM.It is shown that using these methods, categorization and visualization of websites or documents is feasible.

    In this study, a basis of technique to categorize was established by contents of Web site sponsored with Internet by a school year and a subject, relation with a subject unit.
    By this technique, we resolve a description every each unit of a textbook into a term by morpheme analysis and demand an element and a line to do by appearance frequency in each unit of each term, and it is technique extracted by a characteristic vector of a term/a unit with it by the value resolution peculiar.
    A unit to fall under was estimated by it being compared resemblance degree with a characteristic vector of each unit demanded by a textbook with a demanded vector by arbitrary information to judge Web site contents to be it.
    And it was made what we could divide into a category to a unit in a subject clear if a term extracted from one part of a textbook of existing social studies was used.
    We understood that it was achieved high original distinction rate as a result that a post teacher evaluated the result.
    And it is the plan that other, school year distinction, a subject input contents of all the textbooks of the every company which is to be published during this year into according to a unit, it is to be extracted a characteristic vector by this technique about a unit of each in order to let this result develop in this study.
    And we evaluate technique to divide into a category by it, and it is a plan to examine of practical use.

    Eye-movements, blinking and pupil size respond to visual or audio stimulus to require information processing. It is well known pupil size increase with task difficulty. We investigated whether their changes are correlated and can be indices of mental activity. First experiment, audio instruction was presented while gazing and following a marked point which moved periodically in the central point and a point on concentric circle. Audio instructions asked to recall memorized word, cap verses or oral calculation. Second experiment, subjects took part in driving simulation game with same audio tasks. Pupil size, blinking and eye-movements were observed in both experiments.
    In the first experiment, the averaged pupil sizes and blinking rate significantly increased with visual angle of gazing and following task, and audio instructions. The gazing time and saccadic responses for the target decreased in response to audio instructions. In the second experiment, pupil sizes and blinking also significantly increased in response to audio instructions. The gazing time and saccadic responses also significantly decreased in response to audio instructions.
    From these results, it suggested eye movement model for evaluating mental activity, which was based on correlations between blinking time and gazing time, and between blinking time and saccade occurrence time. For verifying this model, the correlations among them were examined under some eye movement conditions. This verification provided the evidence that pupil, blinking and eye-movement responses can be indices of mental activity.

    A lot of information is offered to Internet, and there is much information to be useful for learning. However, there are many cases that are not readable to a child student so that it is had much work a kanji.
    So, in this study, we developed a system to convert kanji notation of Internet into according to learning automatically. By this study, a child student comes to understand a kanji, but a demand has a system to convert into sentence expression to be suited for a child automatically from teachers of the school spot.
    It was based on "the face for Chinese- and Japanese-style readings of Chinese characters" that "school year other kanji kana allotment list" and the Agency for Cultural Affairs which the development Education Ministry of the kanji notation automatic notation conversion function which met a school year established and made "a school year other kanji kana conversion dictionary."
    These ten phases of dictionary (general from a kindergarten) is divided into three kinds (a kanji unit, a compound word unit, school year writing together use) according to a conversion method.
    I made a database of the Web page, which was useful for development learning of learning information offering system, and then the system, which I could search, was developed. By this system, even primary schoolchildrern could seem to utilize it, and the search item did it with "school year" and two items of "a subject." In addition, the kanji notation, which I put together in a level and hope of a learning person, can because this system fuses with a kanji kana automatic conversion system according to a school year.
    In a development book study of a no conversion function and a harmful information filtering function, in the Web site that did not expect conversion (site of a kanji, for example), the Web site where the function that I did not convert into and a harmful term were used for developed the function that I did not display.
    As a result evaluation that this system was effective for practical use in a class was provided. This system is utilized in a lot of schools currently in addition to above.

    資料提示機能と回答集計機能を有する、インターネットによる同期型教育情報共有システムを開発した。
    資料提示機能は、講義中に、プレゼンテーション用の資料等を、教師の操作に従って生徒の手元にブラウザに自動的(同期的)に表示させる機能である。Javaによる資料提示サーバプログラムと、教師用ページに組み込まれた教師用アプレット、および生徒用ページに組み込まれた生徒用アプレットにより構成され、それぞれデータの送受信を行う。また本機能では、資料がどれだけの生徒に提示されたかを表す資料提示率が教師用画面に表示され、教師がそれを把握することができる。さらに、教師の操作により、インターネット上の任意のページを生徒の手元のブラウザに提示することができる。
    回答集計機能は、生徒からのアンケート回答を集計し、その結果のグラフを表示する機能である。教師の操作により、生徒にアンケート画面が自動的に表示され、生徒はそれに回答する。生徒からの回答はサーバのCGIプログラムに送られる。サーバのCGIプログラムは、アンケート結果のグラフ、およびそれを表示するためのHTMLファイルを作成する。その後、教師の操作により、生徒の画面に結果のグラフが表示される。なお、生徒へのアンケート表示およびグラフの提示は、資料提示機能を用いている。本機能により、講義中に生徒のレスポンスをリアルタイムに得ることができる。
    資料提示機能と回答集計機能を備えた本システムにより、教師と生徒間の同期的な情報共有が実現でき、学習効果の高い講義が実現可能である。

    The aim of this research involves evaluation of refresher distance education by satellite and a development of a feedback system. The followings are the achievement of this research.
    1.Survey of national Technological University (NTU) National Technological University (U.S.A) has been delivering both academic graduate programs leading to Master of Sience degrees and noncredit, continuing education short courses to the workplace by satellite since 1985.
    2.Development of the Feedback System
    For distance education by satellite, a feedback system is very important, by which teacher can accept questions and opinions from students of distance site. We developed the feedback system via the Internet. Interface of a student is WWW browser. Every student can send a response to a teacher by clicking a bottom.
    3.Evaluation of Two Different Delivery Systems
    Two differnt delivery systems for distance education by satellite were evaluated by same questionnaire respectively. Two delivery systems are an analog video transmission systems and a 1.5Mbps digital compressd video transmisson system. The overall evaluation in the analog system was significantly higher than that in the digital system. Factor analysis was conducted to extract 6 factors (image quality, presence, Q&A communication, time schedule, content and audio) from 25 questionnaire items. By multiple regression analysis, the image quality and the presence were significantly effective to overall evaluation.
    Finally, all the above results are generalized to obtain the information on the refresher distance education by satellite.
