    <p>The method for construction management for construction woks of polyurethane waterproofing membrane being improved in repair work site was described in this research. The effectiveness of the method was confirmed by being applied to subsequent repair works. To check the quality of repair work of polyurethane waterproofing membrane, thickness of membrane was verified. The aging condition was also inspected for ensuring aged membrane.</p>

    Asbestos containing coating materials for textured finishes of buildings painted on building walls may cause asbestos fibers release during removal with repair works and demolition works. Curing is necessary for prevention of asbestos dispersal, on the other side technical information about asbestos dispersal is not enough for planning repair and demolition works. In this study, airborne fibrous particles was measured under several removal methods of asbestos containing coating materials from specimen made of concrete and model demolition of specimen with asbestos containing coating materials, and removal methods are compared and verified.

    Asbestos cement sheets used under outdoor condition may need surface treatment because of deterioration. Surface preparation of deteriorated asbestos cement sheets may cause asbestos fibers release during surface preparation. In former study, airborne fibrous particles concentration was measured under several ways of surface preparation of existed deteriorated cement sheets containing asbestos. In this study, some substrate preparation methods were added, and airborne fibrous particles concentration was measured under those surface preparation methods, for the purpose of verification on safety of substrate methods and asbestos release during surface preparation.

    Spray-applied asbestos are prohibited on buildings use, because of risks on asbestos fiber release. Meanwhile, knowledge about asbestos fiber release from other asbestos containing materials is insufficient at present, despite of those may cause asbestos fiber release by deterioration.<br> In this research, airborne fibrous particles concentration was measured at indoor which use asbestos containing materials, and degree of deterioration of those materials was verified. As a result, asbestos fibers were not detected indoors, and no deterioration on all indoor asbestos containing materials but some thermal insulating materials on pipes was verified.

    Thermal insulation materials for chimney pipes are concerned to deteriorate by freezing and thawing effect especially in cold areas.<br> In this research, airborne fibrous particles concentration was measured at indoor, inside of chimney pipes and outdoor around buildings which use asbestos containing thermal insulation materials for chimney pipes, and degree of deterioration of those materials was verified.<br> As a result, asbestos fibers were detected indoors of 2 buildings, inside of chimney pipes of 5 buildings and various degree of deterioration of thermal insulation materials for chimney pipes were examined.

    In this paper, the basic experiments aiming at the technical establishment utilizing IC-tags which performs information management of concrete were shown, when the IC-tags were thrown into the fresh concrete at mixing process. The durability of IC-tags against the mixing, agitating, and compressive strength of concrete were examined by the tests which we extracted as the most fundamental experiment. It was clarified that the IC-tags, which do not assume supplying to concrete, beard the various external force at the mixing and agitating process of concrete. Moreover, the result that compressive strength did not decreased was obtained when an IC-tag was installed inside concrete specimen.

    A computer and trading slip assisted carbon flow calculation system was developed. The system is composed of a computer tool that can calculate the carbon sink and CO2 emission of wooden products. Carbon trading slips were used as to transmit information necessary to calculate the carbon sink and CO2 emission. Different amount of carbon sink was given to the wooden products originally from the sustainable forests and those originally from the non- sustainable forests. Case studies were conducted and the practicality of the tool was verified.

    アスベスト含有成形板は、表面が経年劣化することによりアスベスト繊維が飛散する可能性がある。現在、劣化したアスベスト含有成形板を対象とした塗装による飛散防止技術が開発されつつある。本研究では、茨城県古河市にある築23年の鉄骨造倉庫の屋根・外壁面のスレート波板に対して塗装改修を行い、屋外暴露経過1.5年後の評価を行った。また、劣化したスレート波板に対して塗装仕様を適用した際の耐久性評価として温冷繰返し試験を検討した。 最後に、屋外暴露試験の結果と温冷繰返し試験の結果を比較し、相関性の確認を行った。

    It is important to develop an information traceability system on the process of concrete production. One method is to record the information about the concrete production with IC-tags, and to install them inside the concrete. This method has a characteristic to keep the information inside the concrete itself. On the other hand, this method requires communication performance between IC-tags inside the concrete and the reader outside the concrete. The communication performance of IC-tags installed inside the small-size specimens was clarified in our previous study. This paper describes a study on the communication performance of several types of IC-tags installed inside the large-size concrete specimens.

    The purpose of this study is to present the evaluation method of contact resistance of building elements and members with palms and hands from the view point of motion support and posture control. First, sensory tests to make evaluation scales from the view point of motion support and posture control with palms and hands were carried out. Next, the contact resistance meter with palms and hands that could measure the contact resistance of samples were developed. Then, coefficients of contact resistance of the samples were searched with the contact resistance meter. Also, the relations were investigated between contact resistance and evaluation scales from the view point of motion support and posture control. As a result, the measurement method of contact resistance of building elements and members with palms and hands were presented.

    RFID assisted building information recording and tracing tool was developed. The IC tags were installed in the building during their construction process as a key to receive the information. In the system the visual information and the building materials' information such as the manufacturing companies and mills can be searched by the help of the code written in the IC-tags. And the detail information of the builders and the construction and renovation history of buildings can also be searched in the tool. The system was applied to the retrofitting process of the exhibition hall existing in the Building Research Institute.

    No techniques have yet been established for matching specifications for building durability to those requested by the building user. The authors study the development of Object-based durability design. This paper deals with the carbonation preventive effects in coating materials for reinforced concrete components as an example, and the selection technique of the appropriate finishing material based on the point of view of deterioration preventive effects. This paper shows our experiments and literature surveys for identifying carbonation preventive effects in coating materials and proposes an approach to estimate the progress of carbonation for concrete with coating materials applied to the surface under outdoor exposure condition.

    各種表面仕上材を施したコンクリート試験体を茨城県つくば市に自然暴露し,試験体温度と各種気象因子の実測を行い,実環境におけるコンクリート表層内部の温度変化に影響する各種要囚の検討を行うとともに,コンクリート表層内部の温度推定に関する基礎的検討を行った。その結果,コンクリート内部温度は表面の仕上材の影響をうけること,塗材系仕上材を施したコンクリート内部温度は,夏季では色の影響が大きいこと等の知見が得られた。

    Environment-conscious life-cycle design (eco-life-cycle-design) is a comprehensive method to reduce the environmental load and improve materials efficiency in the total life cycle of closed loop of production, in service, demolition, recycle/reuse, reproduction of building materials, components and/or systems. Special attention is paid to the compatibility of long service life with environmental harmony (ecobalance performance). This paper proposes and discusses this eco-life-cycle-design for new external thermal insulation systems using new short-cut fiber reinforced cement composites (FRC) as exterior materials.

    The purpose of this study is to present the evaluation method of touch on round handrails. First, sensory test concerning the touch was carried out using the various handrails and adults. As a result of sensory test, warmth, roughness, hardness and stickiness were extracted as factors which composed touch on handrails, then psychological scales of preference and sense of each factors were composed. Next, physical values of handrails which corresponded to psychological scales were measured by newly developed apparatuses. Finally, evaluation formulas were made by the complex of physical values, and the evaluation method of touch on handrails were presented.

    The purpose of this study is to establish the evaluation method of the fracture of framed floors under dynamic loads affected by physical bodies. First, we elaborated the gist of the evaluation method of the fracture of framed floors.Second, the apparatus for evaluating the fracture of framed floors was newly designed and manufactured. Based on properties of dynamic loads affected by physical bodies, the apparatus is composed of mechanical loading system investigated in part 1 and a dial gauge for measuring framed floor bending. Third, we investigated the relation between mass and velocity is interchangeable on the experimental basis. As a result, in this paper part 2, we presented the evaluation method of the fracture of framed floors under dynamic loads affected by physical bodies using mechanical loading system.

    The purpose of this paper is to present a relative evaluation method of slipperiness of flat and inclined floors and pavements from a viewpoint of straight mobility of wheelchairs. First, scales of the mobility were made by sensory test in which a wheelchair was used to run on various samples. Then, slip-resistance values of samples were measured respectively with an apparatus developed by authors in former research, an evaluation index was proposed to correspond to scales. Consequently, the relative evaluation method of slipperiness of flat and inclined floors and pavements from the viewpoint of straight mobility of wheelchairs was presented.

    Sounds generated from floors by various human actions (called the floor sounds) are usually recognized as noise. On the other hand, floor sounds may create an atomosphere of Noh play, dancing, sports, or effect as caution sounds for blind to perceive an obstacle and a person. In this study, a sensory test on the judgment of distance from the pronouncing source by hearing the floor sounds generated dealing with the newly developed pronouncing simulator was carried out. From the results of this study, it was confirmed that people could judge the distance between the pronouncing source and themselves. And it can be said conclusively that the judgment is made not only by the volume of floor sounds but also by the way of transmission of them.

    This paper presents a method to evaluate relatively the slipperiness of bathtub surfaces and a human body (the buttocks and the back) from a viewpoint of safety. In order to make the sensory scales, sensory tests with regard to the slipperiness of the buttocks and the back in a bathtub were carried out. Then the measuring methods for the slip-resistance which had the relationship with the sensory scales were discussed. As a result, it was clarified that the sensory scale on the slipperiness of the buttocks was correlated with the slip-resistance C.S.R・BH, and the sensory scale on the slipperiness of the back was correlated with the slip-resistance C.S.R・BB.

    The purpose of this study is to present the evaluation method of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars from the viewpoint of safety. First, we carried out sensory tests on handrails and grab bars to make evaluating scales of slipperiness. Next, we measured the slip ,resistance of handrails and grab bars (C.S.R・HR) by the slip meter developed in the former research (presented in part 1), and showed the estimate value which was composed of C.S.R・HR and diameters of handrails and grab bars corresponded to evaluation scales. As a result, we presented the evaluation method of the slipperiness of handrails and grab bars from the view point of safety.

    The purpose of this study is to present the relative evaluation method of slipperiness of floors and walls with hands from the viewpoint of safety. First, sensory tests were carried out to make sensory scales of slipperiness on various samples with hands and evaluation scales on that from the viewpoint of safety. Next, slip resistance, which is corresponding with sensory scales, was measured by the slip meter adapted from that of handrails and grab bars developed in the former research by author. Then, relation between evaluation scales and slip resistance was presented as a relative evaluation index. Finally, the relative evaluation method of slipperiness of floors and walls with hands from the view point of safety was presented.

    Sounds generated from floors by various human action (called the floor sounds) are usually recognized as noise. On the other hand, floor sound may create an atmosphere of sports. In this study, a sensory test by athletes on the effect of floor sounds of atmosphere in playing was carried out dealing with several floor samples, and evaluation sensory scales was composed. Then, the relationship of sensory scale and floor sounds generated dealing with the developed pronouncing simulator in former study was considered. From the results of this study, the evaluation method of the effect of floor sound in playing was presented.

    The purpose of this study is to establish the evaluation method of the fracture of framed floors under dynamic loads affected by physical bodies. First, we measured dynamic loads affected by rigid steel bodies, and showed relations between maximum loads and masses of rigid steel bodies under each condition (stiffness of framed floor and falling height). Next, we measured dynamic loads affected by some physical bodies, and obtained each actual mass by means of the relation. As a result, in this paper part 1, we presented the substitution method of loads affected by that of physical bodies to mechanical loading systems.

    The purpose of this study is to establish the evaluation method of safety of building elements and members from the viewpoint of slipperiness with hands that is important to ensure the safety of persons especially for aged and physically handicapped persons. In this paper, we presents the measurement method of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars, as a first step of this study. First, we carried out sensory tests, and human sense of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars were scaled under various conditions. Next, we developed the slip meter of handrails and grab bars, that could measure the slip resistance of handrails and grab bars, corresponded to sensory scales. As a result, we presented the measurement method of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars.

    This paper presents the evaluation method on slipperiness of mats on the floor, which is important performance ensuring safety of dwelling. First, we carried out sensory tests, and made sensory and evaluation scales of slipperiness of mats on the floor. Then, we clarified the tendency of loads on floors affected by feet through mats. Next, we established measuring method of the slip resistance composed of C.S.R (formerly presented as the slip resistance of floors) and L(moving distance of mats) to correspond sensory and evaluation scales. As a result, we presented the evaluation method dealing with the measuring method and evaluation indices of slip resistances.

    This paper presents the relative evaluation methods on slipperiness of stairway treads from a viewpoint of safety of the aged. First, sensory tests with the aged (upper 60 years old) and young persons (20 to 59 years old) were carried out, to make evaluation scales of slipperiness. Next, it was cleared that C. S. R・S which was the physical value of slipperiness of stairway treads made in the past studies corresponded to each evaluation scale, also the correspondence was enough as the evaluation indexes. Finally, the evaluation indexes and the measuring method of C. S. R・S were presented as relative evaluation methods.

    This study presents the relative evaluation method on floors from a viewpoint of slipperiness at using walking sticks. First, in order to clarify the tendency of loads on floor surfaces affected by walking sticks, we measured horizontal and vertical loads by them. Then, to make evaluation scales of slipperiness, we carried out sensory tests at using walking sticks. Next, we proved that slip resistances which were composed C.S.R corresponded to evaluation scales. As a result, the method to evaluate the slipperiness of floors at using walking sticks exemplified as the method to measure the slip resistance and evaluation indices.
