    Abstract

    Metal oxides with diverse structures and dimensionalities are typically synthesized via solid‐state or hydrothermal reactions. However, it is quite difficult to retain the structures of the starting materials when 0D metal salts or molecular clusters are used as precursors because higher‐dimensional structures form by structural reorganization through isomerization and decomposition/condensation reactions. In this study, we demonstrated a structure‐preserving, dimensionality‐increasing strategy for the synthesis of 2D α‐MoO3 from 0D [Mo2O5(H2O)6]2+ species via a 1D [Mo2O6{(CH3)2NCHO}]n intermediate while maintaining the structures of the precursors. By simple temperature‐controlled calcination, metastable crystals of α‐MoO3 in which the (100) plane was the broad face were successfully synthesized, differing from conventional α‐MoO3 in which the (010) plane is the broad face. In addition, the prepared metastable crystals possessed large surface areas, unusual micropores, and surface‐exposed coordinatively unsaturated Mo sites, allowing them to serve as high‐performance acid catalysts. This synthesis strategy is expected to facilitate the synthesis of metastable structures and the design of defects and surface structures at the atomic level.

    Abstract

    Zeolitic octahedral metal oxide is a newly synthesized all‐inorganic zeolitic material and has been used for adsorption, separation, and catalysis. Herein, a new zeolitic octahedral metal oxide was synthesized and characterized. The porous framework was established through the assembly of [P2Mo13O50] clusters with PO4 linkers. Guest molecules occupied the framework, which could be removed through heat treatment, thereby opening the micropores. The pore characteristics were controlled by the cations within the micropore, enabling the adjustment of the interactions with alkynes and alkenes. This resulted in good separation performance of ethylene/acetylene and propylene/propyne even under high temperature and humidity conditions. The high stability of the material enabled the efficient recovery and reuse without discernible loss in the separation performance. Due to the relatively weak interaction between the adsorbed alkyne and the framework, the adsorbent facilitated the recovery of a highly pure alkyne. This feature enhances the practical applicability of the material in various industrial processes.

    Abstract

    ɛ-Keggin-based mixed metal oxide (ɛ-MoMO) comprises a network arrangement based on an ɛ-Keggin {Mo12O40} unit and a {MO6} octahedral, forming a framework structure containing cage and channel textures such as an Faujasite (FAU)-type zeolite. In this study, we successfully synthesized 3 novel ɛ-MoMOs, namely ɛ-MoMgO, ɛ-MoYO, and ɛ-MoInO, and their physicochemical properties were investigated. All these materials showed a microporosity to adsorb CO2 of up to 33% to 42% in their crystallographically expected microporous capacity.

    Crystalline trigonal Mo-V-M-O (M = Fe, W) catalysts were obtained by using structure-directing agent. Trigonal Mo-V-O is a layered structure and the cross-section is comprised of the netwark structure based Mo pentagonal unit and V octahedral, forming pentagonal, hexagonal, and heptagonal channels in the structure. Fe was located in the hepgatonal channel and W was placed at the Mo pentagonal unit by substituting Mo. Mo-V-O and Mo-V-W-O showed almost the same catalytic activity for the selective oxidations of ethane and acrolein, on the other hand, the activities decreased by the location of Fe inside the channel. Clear relationship in catalyst structure and catalytic activity was found.

    結晶性MoVO複合酸化物は低級アルカンの選択酸化反応に高い活性を示す触媒である。前駆体溶液のpHを調整することで斜方晶、三方晶などの結晶相が作り分けられる。今回、種結晶添加法をMoVO合成に応用することにより、広いpH領域において容易に触媒の作り分けが可能となった。得られた触媒のキャラクタリゼーションや反応活性試験から、種結晶を用いて合成した試料も種結晶と同様に高い活性を示すことが明らかとなった。

    Orthorhombic and trigonal phase Mo-V-W-O complex oxides were synthesized with one-step hydrothermal method. And their catalytic activity for selective oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid was investigated. The results showed that both of orthorhombic and trigonal phase Mo-V-W-O complex oxides are excellent catalysts for acrolein oxidation to acrylic acid especially under low water partial pressure.&amp;nbsp;

    Novel porous crystalline solid was synthesized by using ε-Keggin Mo-POM as synthetic unit. Resulting materials showed selective oxidation catalysis property and molecular oxygen activation on the basis of the elemental diversity, structural diversity, and redox dynamism.
    Novel porous crystalline solid was synthesized by assembling metal oxide nano-wire formed with 1D chaining of 6-membered ring units. The material showed unique selective oxidation performance due to the electron transfer through the 1D chain. Novel porous crystalline solid was synthesized through unit synthesis of cuban-type unit of W oxides and V-linkers. The crystalline materials formed micro-channels and cages and therefore became one with high elemental exposure state. It was found that the materials showed extremely catalytically active for de-NOx reaction superior to existing catalysts.

    結晶性Mo3VOx複合酸化物触媒(MoVO)は{Mo6O21}6-五員環ユニットと金属酸素八面体で構成され、構造内には5、6、および7員環を有する。MoVOは異種金属導入や骨格金属置換に対して柔軟な構造であり、これにより触媒活性を制御できる。しかし、これまでの研究では限られた金属(Te, Sb, Nb等)しか構造内に導入できてなく、種々金属をMoVO内に導入する技術の開発が望まれていた。
    これまでに我々は、MoVO合成の前駆体溶液に存在する対カチオンをアンモニウムイオンからアルキルアンモニウムイオンに変えることで、種々アルキルアンモニウムイオンを構造内に含むMoVOの合成に成功している。興味深いことに、対カチオンがアンモニウムイオンの場合、MoVOに異種金属を加えてもその金属種に由来する酸化物相が形成するだけであったのに対し、アルキルアンモニウムイオンを対カチオンとすると、種々金属が構造内に導入したMoVOが得られることを見出した。
    プロピレン用工業触媒との対比から、プロパン選択酸化用の触媒としてBiが構造内に導入されたMoVO(MoVBiO)の合成はこれまでに熱心に研究されていたが、これまでに成功を見なかった。しかし、合成時の対カチオンをエチルアンモニウムイオンとすることで、今回初めてMoVBiOの合成に成功した。MoVBiOではBiは構造の6員環に位置し、エチルアンモニウムイオンは7員環に位置していた。MoVBiOはMoVOよりもはるかに高いプロパンアンモ酸化能を示したことから、Bi導入の優位性が見て取れた。
    また、MoVOの5員環部にWが導入されたMoVWO、MoVOの7員環部にFeが導入されたMoVFeOの合成にも成功した。MoVOとMoVWOはエタンの酸化に活性を示したが、MoVFeOはエタン酸化に全く不活性であった。触媒の部分構造が触媒活性に影響する様子がクリアに見て取れた。
