    It has been well recognized that response displacement of structures has good agreement with damage due to ground motions. However, there are large uncertainties in estimating the peak nonlinear response displacement of structures by typical seismic intensity measures. A seismic intensity measure considering the maximum seismic energy during the half of natural period of the structure was proposed and its application to the response of reinforced concrete bridge columns was shown in this paper. It was shown that the proposed intensity measure has better agreement with the peak nonlinear response displacement of reinforced concrete columns as compared with PGA, PGV, response acceleration at the fundamental natural period and SI.

    First, seismic analysis method for bridge piers with steel corrosion was established, and the maximum amount of reinforcing bar corrosion to maintain the seismic safety of a corrosion-free RC bridge pier was examined based on the reliability analysis. Then, the probability that the corrosion state of reinforcing bar will reach a particular value within the lifetime of RC bridge pier was calculated by corrosion progress model. The calculations for the cover to ensure that the probability is the same as the target value are presented. As a result, when the limit state of durability design of RC bridge piers is set as corrosion crack initiation, the degradation of seismic safety due to reinforcing bar corrosion during its lifetime can be assumed to be negligible and a rational cover can be determined.

    <p>Serious damage was caused to Yokoe Bridge in Yatsushiro City during the main shock of the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. In this report, seismic waveforms during the 2016 main shock in the bridge were estimated using the site-effect substitution method. The site effect at the bridge was evaluated based on temporary seismic observations. Difference of the site effects between the bridge site and the present observation stations was also indicated.</p>

    Large inelastic response can be developed in reinforced concrete columns with isolator due to the second stiffness of the isolator if columns yield. Effect of uncertainty in ground motion characteristics on the seismic damage allocation and failure mode of reinforced concrete columns with isolator was investigated using incremental dynamic analysis in this study. It was shown that failure mode of the reinforced concrete column with isolator depends on the characteristics of ground motions.

    It is important to evaluate the characteristics of deteriorated isolators and develop an analytical model of them to evaluate the seismic safety of bridge columns with deteriorated isolators. Effect of the deteriorated isolators on the seismic response of reinforced concrete columns with isolator was investigated based on cyclic loading experiments of isolators in this study. It was shown that deteriorated isolators increase the response of reinforced concrete columns at lower seismic intensity compared to the isolators without deterioration based on incremental dynamic analysis. Furthermore, it was shown that the nonlinear response displacement of reinforced concrete columns varies significantly.

The seismic performance of bridges which were designed based on 1964 and 2002 design codes were evaluated in terms of probability of suffering a certain level of damage considering the randomness of material properties. The enhancement of the seismic performance due to the progress of recent design method can be represented.

    Nearfield ground motions recorded in recent years include high frequency components which make the PGA of the vertical components much higher than the PGA of the lateral components. The effect of high frequency component which was predominant in the vertical ground motion on the response of a standard bridge was studied. KiK-net Ichinoseki-nishi record during the 2008 Iwate-Miyagi Nairiku earthquake was imposed to the target bridge. It was found from the analysis that the high vertical acceleration can result in instantaneous tension in addition to high compression pulses in the bridge pier.

    鉛プラグ入り積層ゴム支承を免震支承として使用し、連続桁をRC橋脚で支持した免震橋を対象として、天然ゴムの経年劣化に伴う支承としてのせん断剛性の増加、破断ひずみの低減等の力学的特性の変化を考慮して、生じ得る損傷とその損傷制御の在り方、道路ネットワークとしての接続性について検討を行った。特に、損傷制御に関する背景としては、研究代表者のこれまでの検討において、地震動強度を漸増させた漸増動的解析により、構造系としての損傷が、固有周期に依存したRC橋脚としての非線形地震応答の特性から、橋脚高が高い場合には免震支承の破断により決定されやすく、橋脚高が低い場合にはRC橋脚の地震応答の終局変位への到達により決定されやすいことが明らかとなっている。橋梁用免震支承が受注生産品であることを踏まえると、免震支承を破断させないことが復旧性を高める観点で重要である一方で、特に河川内に位置する等のアクセス制約のあるRC橋脚が超過作用等で終局限界状態に到達してしまうと、速やかな復旧が困難となり、社会に及ぼす影響が大きくなる。
    そこで、令和5年度は、特にそうした制約条件がある場合について、レベル2地震動に対しては確実に免震支承で地震エネルギーの吸収を図り、超過作用に対してはアンカーボルトを破断させることで、長期の復旧期間を要する免震支承本体の破断やRC橋脚の終局的損傷を回避する場合について、地震動、経年劣化、洪水のマルチハザード下での道路ネットワークの接続性への影響も含めた検討を行った。そして、アンカーボルトを超過作用下で破断させることで、長期の復旧期間を要する損傷モードを回避し、震災後において道路ネットワークとして速やかな交通機能の回復が可能となることを示した。

    免制震橋の供用期間にわたって地震損傷の制御を行う上では、免震支承等のデバイスの経年劣化に伴う限界状態の閾値の変化を適切に考慮する必要がある。そこで、令和2年度は、鉛プラグ入り積層ゴム支承における天然ゴムの経年劣化に伴うせん断剛性の変化や破断ひずみの変化について、実橋における調査結果からゴムの劣化は表層の限られた範囲で進行することを踏まえ、既往の加熱促進劣化試験や繰返載荷実験結果に基づいて特性を評価し、漸増動的解析へと反映させた。
    その結果、レベル2地震動に対して生じる最大せん断ひずみの健全時の破断ひずみに対する裕度が小さい場合には、経年劣化の有無に関わらず、レベル2地震動よりも大きな強度を有する地震動の作用下では長期の復旧期間を要する免震支承の破断を回避できない状況であった。すなわち、経年劣化の影響が無くても、免震支承の破断が生じ得る条件下では、経年劣化の影響により免震支承の破断可能性がより一層高まった。一方で、レベル2地震動に対して生じる最大せん断ひずみの健全時の破断ひずみに対する裕度を一定以上確保することにより、経年劣化による破断ひずみの低減の影響を受ける領域における地震応答を抑制できる。そのため、経年劣化と地震動のマルチハザードの影響を受けにくく、長期の復旧期間を要する免震支承の破断を回避した免震橋が実現されることが示された。さらには、そうした免震橋では、免震支承による安定的な地震エネルギーの吸収がなされた上で、副次的にRC橋脚においても地震エネルギーの吸収がなされてから、構造系としての終局限界状態に到達するため、構造系としての地震時安全性が向上することも示された。
    また、免制震橋は単独で機能を発揮せず、道路ネットワークとして所要の交通機能を発揮する必要があり、限界状態の設定に関連して、機能低下が社会に及ぼす影響について、レジリエンス評価の観点からも整理を行った。

    Performance of rubber bearings can be deteriorated, and cracks and rupture of rubber bearings occurred during the past seismic events. A fundamental research was conducted to realize isolated bridges which can be in operation immediately even after large earthquakes. It was shown that rupture of isolators can be prevented and that isolated bridges with high seismic safety and high reparability can be realized by ensuring the appropriate capacity ratio between isolators and bridge columns considering deterioration of isolators.

    The non-destructive testing and structural performance evaluation of steel members corroded on the boundary with concrete were investigated. In the experimental results, it was shown that damping of steel members was gained by corrosion between steel and concrete boundary. Moreover, the reversed cyclic loading tests of the steel columns specimens were conducted. The ductility and energy absorption capacity of the steel columns were significantly decreased by the steel corrosion on the concrete boundary.

    Effects of varying axial force due to extreme near-field vertical ground motions on the seismic performance of RC bridge columns were investigated based on reversed cyclic loading experiments and fiber element analysis. It was shown from the experiments that the damage of core concrete progressed extensively due to the reversed cyclic axial force variation from compression to tension after the longitudinal bars buckled, which resulted in the shear deformation in the plastic hinge region. Damaged area of core concrete became larger as the peak tensile force in the axial force variation increased.

    Based on a series of shake table experiments for a full-size bridge column using E-Defense, it was found that crushed core concrete spilled out from steel cage under extreme excitations. Such a failure model was first identified based on a full-model column excitation. It is anticipated that this failure modes accelerate degradation of column failure. Since such a scale-effect has not been sufficiently studied in the past due to limitation of large experimental facilities, the scale effect on the failure mechanism at the plastic hinge was investigated in this study. Four 5/36 geometrical scale models which were design and constructed as close to the full-size model as possible were exposed to the same response displacement and varying axial load after they were scaled-down based on the similarity law. It was found that both 1) an evaluation of sectional areas of deformed bars which have difference diameters and shape of surface deformation and 2) the maximum aggregate size were important for identifying the scale effect. It was found that progress of damage was faster in the full-size model that the scaled models though the flexural capacity can be well predicted by the scaled-model. Since the level of excitation to the full-size column by E-Defense was not extreme enough to develop collapse, it was found based on the study that under extremely strong excitation, the scaled models have a large limitation for predicting the failure mechanism of full-size columns.

    本研究は,橋梁を対象に1) 地域防災計画と整合した現実的な性能目標とはいかにあるべきか,2) ダメージフリー橋の建設はどのような条件で可能で,これに要する技術的用件は何か,ダメージフリー橋を建設するためには技術者が漠然と考えているように本当にかなりのコストアップを必要とするのか,3) 橋梁の持つ耐震性レベルや耐震補強の緊急性を表すと同時に,耐震補強効果にも評価できる相対指標(耐震指標)をどのように定義すべきかを明らかにすると同時に,これらに対しても適切な提案を行うことを目的としたものである.本研究は,従来の惰性で漫然と続けられている「中小地震に対しては機能保持」,「大地震に対しては崩壊防止」という性能目標の殻を破り,性能設計の下でより現実的な性能目標を与えることにより耐震設計に日標と方向性を吹き込むことをねらったものである.平成20年度には,ダメージフリー橋の耐震指標を点数化し,現在の耐震基準で設計された橋梁や既往の地震で被災した橋梁の耐震指標を実際の構造諸元に基づいて評価し,相対軸の同定を図った.この際,エキスパンションジョイントのモデル化の検討も実施した.これにより,提案する評価手法が客観的に見て適当な評価軸になるように,耐震指標に考慮する項目の調整を図った.さらに,耐震指標を用いて,過去に耐震補強された橋梁の補強効果を表現し,これが妥当な客観指標となるかを検討し,必要な修正を加えた.

    本研究では、地震後における構造物の被害状況の迅速かつ適切な評価・把握を図るための基礎的研究として、i) RC橋脚の非線形応答特性を反映させ、最大応答水平変位や損傷度に直結したより精緻な地震動強度指標を開発する。ii) 振動台実験を行い、開発する地震動強度指標に基づく構造物の応答変位の推定精度を検証する。さらに、iii) 外観では判断しにくい損傷を評価するための非破壊検査技術の確立に向けた検討を併せて行う。
