    Gene therapy is emerging as a promising treatment. Ex vivo gene therapy modifies patient cells outside the body before reintroducing them. It targets diseases, such as rare disorders and cancer, but involves complex steps, including cell collection, custom vector production, and gene transfer. Considering these challenges, we examined the technical and organizational requirements for the widespread application of ex vivo gene therapy. Lentiviral vectors have become the de facto standard for gene transfer. Unlike in vivo therapy, multi-institutional collaboration drives development, supported by approved drug cases. Success relies on combining academic and biotech research, pharmaceutical acquisition, and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) manufacturing expertise. More efficient, cost-effective treatment systems are essential for further industrial growth and broader adoption.

    This study aimed to identify the boundaries between social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship research through conducting a comparative analysis of international co-authorship networks. Analyzing 29,510 papers published in the Web of Science database from 1999 to 2021, this study utilized bibliometric analysis to examine international co-authorship networks, the strength of international co-authorship, and the top collaborative and collaborating countries. The results found that based on quantitative analysis, social entrepreneurship research focuses more on local challenges and less on international collaboration as compared to entrepreneurship research. Moreover, the findings reveal the involvement of developed countries in the international co-authorship for social entrepreneurship research field. This study sheds light on the characteristics of social entrepreneurship research, which focuses on local and regional challenges. Contrastingly, entrepreneurship research focuses on the globalized field while sharing information and technology. These insights could benefit researchers, practitioners, and educators in prioritizing globalization in entrepreneurship and localization in social entrepreneurship.

    In recent years, Wearable Devices have been used in a wide variety of applications and fields, but because they span so many different disciplines, it is difficult to ascertain the intellectual structure of this entire research domain. No review encompasses the whole research domain related to Wearable Devices. In this study, we collected articles on wearable devices from 2001 to 2022 and quantitatively organized them by bibliometric analysis to clarify the intellectual structure of this research domain as a whole. The cluster analysis, co-occurrence analysis, and network centrality analysis were conducted on articles collected from the Web of Science. As a result, we identified one cluster that represents applied research and two clusters that represent basic research in this research domain. Furthermore, focusing on the top two countries contributing to this research domain, China and the USA., it was confirmed that China is extremely inclined toward basic research and the USA. toward applied research, indicating that applied and basic research are in balance. The basic intellectual structure of this cross-sectional research domain was identified. The results summarize the current state of research related to Wearable Devices and provide insight into trends.
