Profile

Jeffrey is a hands-on research oriented engineer and educator, who has worked in Japan for 25 years in industry, academia and at a national laboratory.  He manages a lab of 15 students doing research on biofuels, japan energy policy and Artificial Intelligence in education. He teaches classes on educational technology, educational video-making, energy & environment, academicy writing and materials & molecular engineering. Before joining Tokyo Tech he was a senior researcher at Fujitsu Labs where he developed semiconductor memory technology. He has won 4 best teacher awards and IEEE best paper award at the 2019 Learning with MOOCs conference.
