本研究の目的に沿って研究を実施し，2021年度は以下の実績が得られた.
（1）Nanoporeシーケンサを用いたDNAストレージに対する挿入削除反転(IDS)誤り訂正法： 2020年度に提案した，同期誤りと非対称シンボル誤りが生じる通信路に対する，オーバーサンプリングを併用した符号化・復号法について，国際会議（オンライン）で発表を行った．
（2）同期誤り訂正符号化と制約符号化： ＤＮＡストレージにおいては一般に，通信路符号化（シンボル誤り＋同期誤り訂正符号化）のみでなく，制約符号化を適用することが求められる．本研究では，2種の制約（ランレングス制約及びGCバランス制約）を同時に満たすための制約化アルゴリズムとして，誤り訂正符号の符号語に対し，制約を満たすように意図的な誤りを付加する手法を提案した．シミュレーションにより相互情報量の推定を行い，提案手法の有効性を評価した．
（3）本研究で実施してきたＤＮＡストレージに対する同期誤り訂正符号化を総括し，電子情報通信学会総合大会においてチュートリアル講演を行った．
（4）誤り訂正符号に基づく耐量子計算機暗号に関連して，以下の基礎的な研究を実施し，研究会等で発表を行った．(4a)Soft information set decoding における尤度比分布と計算量の関係をシミュレーションにより評価した． (4b) QC-MDPC符号の復号法として，従来のビットフリッピング(BF)復号よりも低い誤り率を与えるlook-ahead BF復号法を提案した． (4c) QC-MDPC McEliece暗号に対するreaction-based攻撃の検出法について，基礎的な検討を行った． -
High-throughput data coding for data-bus in data intensive computing

Data intensive computing, such as large-scale computer simulation and big-data analysis, often requires high throughput transfer of large amount of data into processors. Therefore, improvement of throughput in data bus, e.g., memory bus, node interconnection bus, will be crucial. To improve the effective throughput of data buses, this research proposes new coding methods (lossless data compression and synchronization error control coding) suitable for high throughput data buses. Simulation results show that the proposed codings have higher compression ratio and error control capability, compared to existing methods.

We proposed a low-latency and high-throughput lossless compression algorithm, named periodic pattern coding, to improve the memory access performance of super parallel processors. Compression ratio of the proposed method is evaluated by a GPU simulator, and result showed that the proposed method has higher compression ratio compared to conventional compression methods. Also, evaluations of the cache miss ratio and instructions per cycle (IPC) demonstrated that the proposed method is effective to improve the processor performance. Compression/decompression circuits are designed using hardware description language, and results showed that the circuit provides high processing throughputs.

In this research, we have proposed a distributed video coding method suitable for resource-constrained devices, such as wireless mobile terminals. The accuracy of the side information is improved by edge information of each frames, which improves the PSNR by 1 to 2dB. Also, a novel joint-source-cryptographic-channel coding has been proposed, where the compression ratio is slightly improved and the decoded error rate is decreased by a factor of two. As an error control coding for storage systems, multilevel coding methods have been proposed for flash memories.
